Format of group classes
 
Our basic group class format is a 4 week course system. Each class is one and a half hours long and we usually teach 2 or 3 dances each 4 weeks. We start with the basic format of the dance/s, then get into style,timing and variations. All of our courses begin during the first week of the month except the Beginner classes!
The available classes are; Beginner [introductory], Social intermediate, International 101, Intermediate International, Advanced Latin and Standard. Each of the courses are self contained i.e. the material taught can be used without joining further classes. Yet, each course is complimentory to the other courses and can be used to further your dancing to whatever degree you wish to attain! The only thing you need beyond the instruction is Practice!
We do have other courses time to time on popular dances that are in vogue.
 
Beginner class:  A 4 week course which covers the 4 most popular dances at this time. 2 slow dances and 2 fast dances, with this class you will be able to go to almost any social function such as wedding, banquets etc., and feel comfortable.
 
Intermediate Social: This class assumes you have the basic steps in each dance and adds steps and figures and styling to the dances. Each month we review each dance and then add figures to it. We usually do 2 to 3 dances during each course.
 
Basic International classes: This in an introduction to International dancing. This is a style of dancing used throughout the world, it is a very arobic style, this type of dancing is done by people who dance a lot or hobby dancers. In this class we teach 1 Standard and 1 Latin dance each month.
  
Advanced International Classes: In this course we work on 1 dance per course of 4 week, developing the character, style and technique of each dance.
 
Special classes: from time to time we have requests for classes in specific dances. Salsa, Tango, Hip Hop etc.In these classes we cover just the named dance/dances. We also have special classes for business ,church or family groups, again in these classes we cover the requested dances. Call for details.
 
All of our classes are designed to move you forward to as high a level of dancing you wish to attain. You chose to progress from class to class reaching toward a higher level of dance. However, each course is designed to reach a standard that can be used without any additional patterns needed to feel confident when you dance.
 
Owing to the aerobic nature of ballroom dancing it it suggested that you check with your physician before excercising too much. [ 20 minutes of continuous dancing can be equal to a fast aerobic session]
